IFAH-Europe is organising a conference on

Veterinary medicines regulation -

Is Europe still at the cutting edge of innovation?

to be held in Brussels on Wednesday, 6 June 2007 (from 8.30 to 18.00 h)

in the Brussels Marriott Hotel

(Rue A. Orts 3-7 . 1000 Brussels . Belgium)

The conference aims to examine better regulation in the context of the current regulatory framework for animal health products and discuss ways to further improve it. The event is structured in two sessions:

-          Session one: Innovation and impediments in the European animal health industry - a benchmarking study. This session will look at the outcome of the benchmarking study on regulatory practices in the EU, at experiences on better regulation outside Europe, and at an EU perspective on best practice.

-          Session two: Improving the regulatory framework. This will focus on the European animal health industry's proposals to reform the current regulatory context and on contributions both at national and European level.

Thematic workshops will follow the morning session.

IFAH-Europe looks forward to welcoming you to the conference.
